(Greenwich, CT) – Altus Power Management and Career Opportunity Development, Inc. (CODI) are pleased to announce the successful construction and interconnection of a 106 kW roof-based solar system, which started operating in May, 2012. Since the launch of the project in Egg Harbor City NJ, the 442 SunTech panels have been producing 20% over the expected amount of electricity.
The solar system, installed by Mercury Solar Systems, is expected to offset nearly 60% of CODI’s annual electricity usage. Altus Power is pleased with the success of its second project in New Jersey. Altus will take advantage of the state’s Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) program, which has been a key factor in the growth of solar installations in New Jersey.
Lars Norell, Managing Partner of Altus Power Management said, “We are happy to see that this project is doing so well. We look forward to the future success of this project, but more importantly the success of CODI and their long term goals to promote a sustainable future through the use of clean energy.”
