About the Position
As Head of Community Solar Commercial Sales at Altus Power, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strategic relationships with large employers, C-level Altus Power clients, large institutional real estate investors, municipalities and other key stakeholders with the goal of subscribing these counterparties to Altus’ clean energy services. You will be responsible for promoting and signing clients to long-term contracts and ensure that Altus’s community solar farms are fully subscribed with high quality “anchor tenants”.
You will also be responsible for developing and expanding the company’s enterprise partner program allowing Altus’s clients to provide community solar as an employee benefit.
This position requires a polished professional with an understanding of energy sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
· Build, maintain, and convert on strong relationships with large employers, Altus Power's C-level clients, large institutional real estate investors, municipalities and other strategic partners to foster collaboration and mutual success.
· Develop and leverage partner network to identify and sign corporate partners as “anchor tenants” for Altus’s expanding community solar portfolio.
· Own and execute “anchor tenant” RFP process. This includes responding to inbound requests from our partner network.
· Build the community solar commerical sales team and increase the company’s visibility through outbound outreach.
· Work with Altus’s existing corporate clients to expand the company’s “community solar as a benefit” program. Work with Altus’s subscription and marketing teams to develop new partnerships and expand the company’s offering with large corporate employers across multiple states.
· Explore additional opportunities for partnership and establishing local presence, including, participating in community events, and qualifying sponsorship options.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role
· Previous experience selling to Fortune 100 companies and other large employers.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients at the C-level.
· Strong project management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
· Detail oriented with experience working with marketing to launch new initiatives
· Previous experience signing long term energy agreements such as PPAs is a plus.
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
