Electric bills keep climbing, and your employees feel it. With Altus Power Community Solar, eligible individuals can subscribe to local solar projects and save on their electricity costs, with no panels to install and no upfront cost. Now, employers can team up with Altus Power to offer those same savings to their employees.
Here’s how our employee partnership program works: We partner with businesses and organizations to connect their employees and constituents with Community Solar, offering fast-tracked enrollment, VIP customer service and special offers and incentives.
We do the heavy lifting, so the program is easy to run and easy to join. Partners get co-branded marketing materials built for the channels they already use, direct access to our customer experience team, and webinars or lunch & learns hosted by Altus Power. We can also build in partner incentives, like referral bonuses tied to enrollment, so everyone comes out ahead.
Why Community Solar as a workplace benefit? Because it’s not just another office ping pong table — it’s real money back on a bill employees already pay. According to the Bank of America 2025 Workplace Benefits Report, more than 80% of employers say financial wellness resources drive retention and job satisfaction. Employees want benefits that make a real difference in their budgets, and that’s why employers across our markets are bringing Community Solar to their teams.
In September 2026, Altus Power launched a new partnership with The Arc of Rensselaer County, a New York nonprofit agency supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. Through the partnership, eligible employees, family members, and supporters of The Arc can lower their electricity costs by subscribing to a local Community Solar project.
The benefits go further. Participants who complete enrollment receive a $50 sign-on bonus, and for every eligible enrollment Altus Power donates $50 to The Arc’s Employee Emergency Fund, which helps employees facing unexpected financial hardship.
“Community solar is available to renters and homeowners alike, which makes it one of the most accessible tools available for lowering soaring electric bills,” remarked Skylar Werde, Altus Power’s Head of Community Solar. “The Arc of Rensselaer County has spent 75 years building a more inclusive community, and we’re glad this partnership can ease electricity costs for its employees, members, and supporters while strengthening the fund that backs them up.”
Don Mullin, CEO of The Arc of Rensselaer County, added, “With the cost of living continuing to rise, we are proud to offer a program that helps people lower their energy bills while also supporting the employees. This partnership not only provides savings for participants but also helps advance New York State’s clean energy goals.”
Every partnership is built around the employer. Our team looks at the solar projects available nearby, where employees work and which utilities serve them, and the incentives and sign-on bonuses that will work best for your organization.
